Play-offs2008-07-27 16:32 | Seba
Summer is soon turning to autumn, unfortunately, but that means more games again! So battles ahead friends!

Starting group should be finished at last 28.9. - (or if all the games are played before this, play-offs will start earlier!) To start play-offs we need 1-3 days to arrange schedule and website for it.

More info about the system itself will be written to forum later.

Grap your gears from sandy beaches, load up your magazines & get into to the wars again!

Summer season2008-06-15 18:51 | Seba
Few clans been removed because of their inactivity, and clan TrV_ we're still waiting to get answer do they play or not. (edit: TrV is playing, and they've played good - watch out people... :))

Clans 24 & FW have played most/all of the matches, so now it will take a while for them to get their next match rolling. If you clans want to have funwars, I can schedule some none-point-counted "summer wars" for you! Just page me or mail (seba@finrecon.net) me about the date if you want to get it visible here at league.

Atleast here at northeren Europe summer is on its best - have nice summer holidays and load up your batteries for autumn! We might get new game to roll here...

Best wishes,
Seba

[NCA] BIG$HOW banned2008-05-23 17:50 | Webmaster
STATEMENT

Last week we were notified of a possible cheater and we were asked to review a couple of replays, of course we hoped it was nothing, but it turned out to be quite ugly.

[NCA]BIG$HOW is from now on banned from this league for using namescheat and retlock in 3 matches that were played the 13th, the 14th and 20th of May, against Falcon Warrior, Hijos del Infierno and German Elite Ghosts. Scores are forfeited, and map victories goes by NO SHOW, amount 5-0 to opposing team.

Team "Nine Choirs of the Angels" can stay at the league. Other members are not suspected. Just those matches which [NCA] has played with BIG$HOW, scores has been erased.

One of our ideas was to keep this league as transparant as possible. And as you probably know all clans have to upload the replays after the match, so anyone can download the replays and view the game afterwards.

If you want to see the reason for the ban then download the replays from NCA vs FW, NCA vs HI and NCA vs GEG. Make sure you have the Ghostleague maps installed. ( 233mb video: www.ghostleague.net/downloads/bigshow.avi)

The details:

GEG match - High Sierra
- BIGSHOW briefly pauses on GEG Rambo's name
- BIGSHOW shoots Boldy without any indication or reason, only while he was aiming/firing at Boldy he appeared on the map. But this was after BIGSHOW was preparing to fire a MM1.

GEG match - Bridges Night
- BIGSHOW runs to the middle of the map and peeks left of the rock there, and again pauses shortly on the names. It looks like he doesn't even know this map just by the look of that.

GEG match - Polling Center
- BIGSHOW runs inside the central building, into the Hamburger Hill and at this time GEG didn't give 1 single clue to where they spawned yet. But BIGSHOW runs outside the central building very confident nobody is there to shoot him down. Then he proceeds to peek at the corner knowing he is save, and that the enemies are in front of him.
- GEG Babyboom is north of BIGSHOW now, he now decides to strafe and watch the street this time, does he know Babyboom is there? Does he suspect GEG is around this area at this time in the match? It's hard to tell.
- BIGSHOW now kills GEG Balthasar with a MM1 nade, this could be lucky/random of course. His third MM1 nade, his third kill. (It's not like he was randomly firing MM1's everywhere when he got this kill).

GEG match - Refinery
- BIGSHOW kills GEG Raphael, considering NCA didn't spot any enemies yet it's quite obvious GEG spawned yellow at this stage. BIGSHOW didn't look through the map at GEG's player and acted normal here, this doesn't mean he wasn't using cheats at this time - people can use names and act normal to fool others into thinking they are playing fair. Just saying this kill doesn't have any value.
- BIGSHOW proceeds up the kill and encounters GEG Balthasar this time, he shows blatant retlocking here while emptying his OICW clip at FullAuto mode.
- A couple other kills follow with a very small spread of bullets.

GEG match - Farm Night
- BIGSHOW kills GEG Raphael that respawns back right in front of him. Now watch how BIGSHOW seems to follow Raphael's name and kills him again, while running, with OICW single shot. This people... is just extraordinary skill which you don't see very often.

GEG match - Vilnius
- BIGSHOW kills GEG Boldy with a MM1 nade while running, this seems possible to me. The MM1 nade can go anywhere within your reticule as far as i know.
- He then proceeds by killing Balthasar after he respawned back using the only teamrespawn they have. This seems plausible with me. Although if you watch it from another perspective you see he runs towards Balthasar from behind that rock, meaning he is save and can't be seen and closing in on his target. And then he does a little sidestep to spot Balthasar and give himself a reason to fire some MM1's to the statue where he saw Balthasar. That's the cheater's perspective then, but in this instance it could've been a clean move as well, i can't proof in this action that he had namescheat on.
- BIGSHOW now kills Babyboom, he does that sidestep trick again here. Is he just checking an somewhat obvious position that is regulary used from that side of the map? Or did he sidestep to give himself a reason to peek and fire there? (Similar to Balthasar's situation).
- Now what him pay attention to Mastachief's name when he is checking the building, he is barely checking the left side of the building nor the fence area in front of the building. His only concern is that name going to that edge on the right side of the building, at one point he is about to shoot but can not see clearly if Mastachief is visible or not (MM1 has bad zoom). To me this is a clear giveaway he is using names here, and that the behaviour he showed before killing Balthasar and Babyboom are probably because he knew their positions.

GEG match - Night Docks
- This replay doesn't tell us anything, his reaction was normal in every kill here.

GEG match - Mountain
- BIGSHOW kills Babyboom with very very accurate OICW FullAuto in this replay, another moment where he retlock is quite visible.

FW match - Caves
- BIGSHOW's fourth kill on FW_Cad is too accurate for a walking/running OICW, thus retlock.

FW match - Embassy
- BIGSHOW's first MM1 nade on FW_Trinity is extremely suspicious since there is no reason to think that player is hiding behind the statue. Big indication for names use here.

FW match - Vilnius
- BIGSHOW pulls off another running single shot OICW kill , this time on FW_Cad

HI match - Military Camp
- BIGSHOW looks through the rain and fog right at HI Dade before he should be able to see him, possible names indication here.

HI match - Wilderness
- Namecheck on HI Shinichi right in the beginning of the round
- His kill on Fenix also seems quite suspicious.

There is more...
Moving on to a email check we found out BIGSHOW, also known as deathrow is a customer of a cheatwebsite. Apparantly eSports website Crossfire.nu managed to get access to the forumdatabase and they dumped all the username/emailadress/IP adress data on their website. (http://www.crossfire.nu/cheaters/nc-emails.htm )

One of them is BIGSHOW, listed as Customer.
The cheatwebsite in question even confirms this happened.

BIGSHOW also cheated against FRWL in a match played 17th of february of 2007, the replays show undeniable proof of cheating here. But this happened before he joined this league and thus isn't valid as proof.

We only want to show you we do our best to get the best possible idea of a player's playingstyle. Even digging into their old matches.
